We have decided to alter the way we organise and run the weekly winter Wednesday seniors’ competitions to make more use of IG. Several other teams also use IG more extensively than we have done in the past.
All players that wish to play Wednesday seniors competitions must confirm this only via IG and NOT via e-mail as in the past. On the phone app, this will be via Upcoming Competitions.
Although all Wednesday’s will be on IG, you will only be able to select to play them a 7 days in advance. As before, you will need to confirm in IG your selection by 5 pm on the Monday, two days before the competition. You will be reminded to enter by e-mail before the Monday cut-off time.
Cards will be collected from the pro’s shop.
The Seniors only Individual Stableford competitions will be non qualifying and all cards must be handed to Bob Howes so the eclectic and swindle handicaps can be adjusted. Even so, if any player wants their handicap revised, they should input their scores via the myEG phone app but still hand their card in for eclectic and swindle updates.
As last year, each seniors only competition will cost £3 that will be deducted from your account with Norman Beaumont for those that have entered to play on IG. For club competitions, these are paid for via the pro’s shop.
Soup will be available at the Half Way House, that needs to be paid for separately on your bar card if you want it.
All results will be posted on the Seniors web site.
The Wednesday competitions are organised entirely within IG, the steps are below. - Log onto the ig Club Website as Seniors Admin (you may need to Log Off first), the ID and password are only available to the captain and vice captain - Go to Home page - Scroll down to My Rollups - Find the date you want and click Admin - At the top of the list of names, click Manage Startsheet - Top Left click Smart Allocation - Click on Random, then Allocate - Drag and Drop any player required - Turn Tee Times Visible to On - Click Send Emails window, Click Confirm (sends email to each entrant) - Click Print for a paper copy
