It is really encouraging to konw professional golfers also make some big mistakes. In Ray Godfrey's second round Crystal match against Norman Beaumont, there was some discussion as to the penalty for ground all his clubs in the bunker beside the 16th green.
The End of Season gallery is here and you can see how much fun we all had in the evening here.

Just a reminder that on Wednesday 27th we shall play a Texas Scramble in place of the End of Season Comp that was originally scheduled for that day. Meet in the Clubhouse before 8.30 for the sorting out of the teams. First tee-off at 9
It is suggested we play a Texas Scramble in 4 balls. So on Wednesday 27 September we shall meet in the Clubhouse between 9 and 9.30 am for registration and the drawing of teams.
Don't forget: Change of date to Monday 9 October for the End of Season. The Menu for the dinner is now up on the Seniors' Board: 3 courses - a choice of starter, carvery, choice of dessert, coffee, port - all for £17.50. Time: 6-30 for 7.00 pm. There will be the usual End of Season Competition during the afternoon with the start times of the golf cunningly designed so that the last groups can change and get to the bar for 6.30 or so. The start times therefore depend on the number of entries but will be at 12 or 12.30 or so. We have invited Club Captain, Peter Maddock, and our coach, Dan Bailey, to play with us and to the dinner. At the conclusion of the dinner we shall ask Peter to present the trophies to our prize-winners of the year. These will include, of course, the generous prizes we usually award to the day's competition winners. The main news is Vince Hallam has been invited to be the 2017 captain although this has not formally been adopted. There is now a new page with 'embarassing' match stories. The Seniors end of season competition will be held on Monday 9 October. Due to the dire weather forecast, the Tadmarton 'away day' did take place on September 14. The match against Nuneaton on Thursday 24 August has been cancelled. On Friday 4 August, Ken Hartley managed a hole in one at the 9th hole. There are already some events planned in 2018.
